Great news for Youghal. After years of waiting, Youghal is to get a 56 berth marina in the heart of the town. Boating and Sailing is an integral part of the town. The Marina is due to commence in the coming months and is to be completed by early next year.

Jerry Dennehy is the local developer "Youghal deserves to be recognised as a fantastic place to visit. By building the Marina, the profile of the town will be given a boost to both foreign and Irish boat owners and sailing enthusiasts alike".

Youghal, being located at the mouth of the Blackwater river, will be an excellent location for boat owners and touring boats to base themselves for fishing and touring at the new marina. The coastal town of Youghal will really have it all!

Youhgal has been voted as third cleanest town out of 60 towns surveyed in Ireland. It is the best result for the town in this regular survey.

Credit to the Youghal Tidy Towns Comittee, local business and town people and the Town Council workers. Good news as we approach the busy tourist season.

Carlton Village is a great little holiday village. The apartments are bright and airy, modern and well maintained. The views out over Youghal and the sea are scenic. I'd definitely recommend a stay here for some R&R away from the hustle and bustle.

Winter has arrived at Carleton Village with our first snowfall this year. Guests would be interested to see the village covered in snow compared to the usual green grass surrounded by blue skies. It's even difficult to see the sea at the moment with the snow filled grey sky.

Once the snow has cleared over Youghal, we will be starting our Spring clean. All the villas have to be cleaned again from top to bottom and inside out. We have our yearly inspection next week for our 4 stars with Failte Ireland, so need to be up to scratch. Everyone is working hard from painters to carpenters, electricians to window cleaners. All we need now is for the sun to shine on the day..
